There’s just something about local produce that can’t be beat by what you get at the grocery store. Thanks to a University City Farmers Market partner, The Farm at Dover Vineyards, residents have the opportunity to enjoy fresh produce and support their local farm through CSA! If you’re wondering what CSA is, it’s Community Supported Agriculture, a subscription(a veggie box) to local produce from 20 farms in the surrounding area.

How does it work?

You pay an upfront amount at the beginning of the season. Each week, you’ll stop by the market to pick up what the farm has to offer. Now, remember, this isn’t an all-you-can-eat grocery store or buffet. This is a real farm. Only so much can be produced. And we only produce what’s in season. So, that means some weeks there’s more food than others. Every week it changes. How fun! For example, in the springtime, they may have strawberries, carrots, and cilantro available. Whereas in the fall they may have, sweet potatoes, jam, and heirloom apples available.

What are the box options?

  • Traditional CSA box — for the entire season
  • Summer CSA box — only for summer
  • The Totally Devoted to local CSA box
  • The Boosted CSA box — includes bread, eggs, and mushrooms

What’s new this year?
