Feed Your Spirit, Mind, & Body with Free Chick-fil-A

Volunteers will help distribute the food.

There’s something special about bringing a community together. Especially around the holiday season when there are endless amounts of love, gratitude, and joy from everyone.

The Keith Family YMCA understands this.

Since the late 90s the Christian Mission Committee, a subcommittee of the Keith Family Board of Advisors, has spearheaded their yearly giveback.

Over the years, it has taken different forms from food drives to community meals. For the most recent years leading up until 2020, the event had been held in person at their facility. However, due to the constraints from COVID-19, the Christian Mission Committee had to re-think what they were going to do.

Still wanting to offer a warm meal and community support, they found Rob Rogers at the University Executive Park Dr. Chick-fil-A, who was willing to help them put together a drive-thru event.

Chicken sandwiches, Christmas carols, good spirits, and a supportive community, what more could you want?

Ask any of the 500 people who attended last year and I’m sure they’d say, “not much.”

This year, they are back again on December 1 from 4 – 6 PM… but with more food, community support, and cheer.

Rollo’s Wings is cooking up mac n’ cheese. Nutrition Healthworks is serving a healthy side, as well as giving out the recipe. Coca-Cola is donating bottled water.

Their goal is to feed the spirit, mind, and body of those in the community. So, if you’re hungry for a fried chicken sandwich, some holiday cheer, or how the Y can change your life, stop by the Chick-fil-A on University Executive Park Dr on Dec. 1 from 4 – 6 PM.
