More businesses coming to University Place near LYNX

Nov 8, 2017 | Business Growth

The Pointe

Dunkin’ Donuts at The Pointe at University Place

University Place is adding three businesses near North Tryon Street. Dunkin’ Donuts and Cava Grill are under construction at The Pointe, the new retail area across JW Clay Boulevard from the LYNX light-rail parking deck.

Work also has started on a Metro PCS corporate store in The Shoppes building near One University Place.

Dunkin’ Donuts

Dunkin’ Donuts will be located in the new building at 9836 JM Keynes Drive. With nine Dunkin’ Donut locations across greater University City, more than 12,000 restaurants worldwide and 15.2 million Friends on Facebook, there’s nothing more we need to tell you about the newest DD serving University City.

We suspect that many LYNX commuters will find the location super-handy.  Website. Facebook

Cava Grill

Cava Grill, also at 9836 JM Keynes Drive, is launching its first Carolinas restaurants at University Place and on Park Road.

Based in Washington, DC, Cava Grill offers fast-casual Greek and Mediterranean-inspired dining, where customers create their meals from a variety of ingredient choices.

The University Place location will have about 2,700 square feet of space plus outdoor dining when it opens around February 2018, the Charlotte Observer reports.

The Charlotte Observer University Place Cava Grill is expected to open in early 2018, so there’s not much to see yet. But you CAN get a glimpse of Cava Grill on several videos posted on Facebook. WebsiteFacebook
