Shorenstein Realty Services, which announced plans in October 2019 to redevelop a massive former IBM office-warehouse facility on Solectron Drive, recently bought land that could provide a major entrance on Mallard Creek Road.

Shorenstein acquired the longtime Flextronics facility and 51 acres at 6800 Solectron Drive in October for $10.5 million.

In November, Shorenstein paid $1.84 million for a total of 12.1 acres plus two homes and a garage along Mallard Creek Road and Penninger Road.

With the additional properties, the 6800 Solectron facility now has direct access to Mallard Creek Road.

At the time of the purchase, Shorenstein said it planned to convert the 430,000 square-foot building and campus into high-quality Class-A offices with outdoor amenities.

The company website says that the office redevelopment will be finished in 2021.
