Two weekly programs at our 900-plus acre Reedy Creek Nature Preserve and Park can help you get fit and limber while enjoying nature.
Each Tuesday evening, the preserve’s nature center hosts a hike on forest trails followed by a yoga class. You can take part in either or both.
Hike for Your Health
Hike for Your Health is a free walk on the park’s trails from 5 to 6 pm Tuesdays, led by park staff. The walk starts at the Nature Center, located a half-mile inside the main entrance. The activity is free, and no registration is required. Hikers should have comfortable footwear and clothing suited to the weather. Call the center for details at 980-314-1119.
Yoga at the Nature Center
Yoga at the Nature Center takes place inside the nature center from 6:15 to 7:15 pm Tuesdays and is led by a trained Yoga instructor. There is a modest fee. Bring your own mat. Click here for details and to register.
