Charlotte Athletics has tapped Tim Albin, fresh off a Mid-American Conference championship run at Ohio, to become the 49ers’ fourth full-time head football coach. Albin compiled a 33-19 record in Athens, engineering three straight 10-win seasons—the most successful stretch in the Bobcats’ 130-year history—and earned MAC Coach-of-the-Year honors in 2022 and 2024. He’ll be officially introduced on Monday, Dec. 9, at Halton Arena, where fans can welcome a leader known as much for developing student-athletes as for rewriting offensive record books. Expect his winning pedigree and high-octane offense to give Charlotte an instant spark as the program charts its next chapter.
