University City’s hospitality industry received a recent boost as the Drury Inn & Suites Charlotte University Place celebrated its redesign. The Drury has been a hospitality staple for over 25 years.

The hotel updated rooms, fixtures, and the lobby to elevate the customer experience. University City Partners was able to attend the recent open house to preview the exciting changes. 

University City has 30 hotels with over 2,300 rooms. An additional 200 rooms will be added in 2025 with the construction of a new Hilton Brand hotel. University City also features two hotels with conference room space at the University Place Hilton and University Marriott. University City’s hotels are conveniently located a short distance to UNC Charlotte, uptown, and Charlotte Motor Speedway making them great options for visitors to the region.
