Due to the COVID pandemic, there’s been a decline in reading scores across the board for all students in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system. To combat the decreasing literacy rates, Charles Robinson, Vice President of Hidden Valley’s neighborhood association, has led the initiative to add more “little libraries” to the community. So far, over 10 little libraries have popped up around the neighborhood and 11,000 books have been collected!
