For over two years, 22 UNC Charlotte Architecture students and faculty members, Emily Makas and Greg Snyder have been working on designing an exhibition to honor Phil Freelon. Before passing away in 2019, Freelon worked on projects at the Gantt Center, the museum of the African Diaspora, and the Motown Museum. The exhibition is at the Gantt Center until January, where it will then go to the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh.
