UNC Charlotte’s New Indigenous Peoples’ Memorial Unveiled

UNC Charlotte Indigenous Peoples’ Memorial

On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, October 11, UNC Charlotte held a ceremony to reveal their new memorial honoring the indigenous people and the history of the land the campus is on.  This comes a year after Charlotte formally started recognizing the holiday on its campus.

The memorial was installed along Craver road between the new UNC Charlotte University Recreation Center and the Popp Martin Student Union.
