Creepy Crawly Critterween at Reedy Creek ParkOctober is a great time for all ages to have fun in University City. Youngsters can get wild at Creepy Crawly Critter-ween in Reedy Creek Nature Preserve. Little ones will love the library’s Fall Festival Storytime. Adults can savor a belated Oktoberfest at the Wine Vault, or toast Halloween at the Wine Vault and Armored Cow Brewing.

Creepy Crawly Critterween

5-8:30 pm Oct. 25 at Reedy Creek Nature Preserve, 2900 Rocky River Road. Directions

Come on out and celebrate the diversity of creepy crawlies at Reedy Creek Nature Center at night. Young and old alike will enjoy live animals, costume contest, campfire stories, marshmallow roast, crafts, hayrides, and night hikes! FREE. MORE

 

16th Annual Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest at the Wine Vault4-8 pm Oct. 25 at the Wine Vault, 9009 JM Keynes Drive at University Place. Directions

Originally scheduled for Oct. 13, the event was rained out and has been rescheduled for this weekend. One hundred different beers will be available to sample. No hassle. No long lines. No pretentious beer snobs, promise the folks at the Wine Vault. Details

 

Fall Festival Storytime

10 am-noon Oct. 31 at University City Regional Library, 301 East WT Harris Blvd. Directions

Bring the young ones in costume for stories, literacy activities and a fun character parade throughout the library. Details

 

Rocky Horror Halloween at The Wine Vault

5-11 pm Oct. 31 at the Wine Vault, 9009 JM Keynes Drive at University Place. Directions

Are you just a Sweet Transvestite? Or maybe would you like to do the Time Warp? Come out and join fans of “Rocky Horror Picture Show” as the Wine Vault celebrates a Rocky Horror Halloween.
