One of Charlotte’s best venues for great entertainment this fall is right here at UNC Charlotte.
Among the two dozen shows through early December are Shakespeare’s gender-bending comedy, “Twelfth Night,” a stirring choral tribute concert, one-of-a-kind dance performances and concerts featuring jazz, gospel, classical and contemporary music.

The Sweet By and By: Choral Reflections on Death

7:30 pm Oct. 15 in Belk Theater at Robinson Hall.

The University Chorale performs The Sweet By and By: Choral Reflections on Death, dedicated to the memory of beloved former accompanist Greg Underwood, who died in 2017.

Presented in the three stages of “Loss/Grief,” “Acceptance,” and “Peace,” the concert includes music by J.S. Bach, contemporary choral pieces, and arrangements of well-known hymns and gospel songs. Tickets

Woodwind and Brass Chamber Ensembles concert

7:30 pm Oct. 23 in Rowe Recital Hall

The performance is free.

“Twelfth Night”

Oct. 25-28; Oct. 31-Nov. 4 in the Black Box Theater at Robinson Hall. All shows are 7:30 pm except 2 pm on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4.

Robinson Distinguished Professor of Theatre Andrew Hartley directs this production of Twelfth Night, Shakespeare’s gender-bending comedy about a love triangle shaped by disguise, deception, and yellow stockings. Tickets

Campus venues and galleries

Most main-campus performances take place at Robinson Hall, home to the 340-seat Ann R. Belk Theater and the 100-seat “black Box” Lab Theater, and in the newly renovated Rowe Recital Hall in the Rowe Arts building.

Most art shows are displayed in three galleries in the Rowe Arts building and in the Projective Eye Gallery at UNC Charlotte Center City.

The Storrs Gallery in the Thomas I. Storrs Building showcases professional and student work related to the School of Architecture.
