University City is changing by the day. This Thursday, July 26, University City Partners invites you to share the changes you’d like to see – as well as the things you want to keep the same.

From 6 to 8 pm at the Camino Community Center, urban planner, community activist and artist James Rojas will lead us through a planning process entitled “Place It!” that uses art to help us envision the future.

Rojas has used this method to engage thousands of people at over 400 workshops. At our event on July 26, participants will learn about the role of planning and design in shaping how we live, and then translate their dreams and ideas into physical forms.

From these results and their accompanying stories, University City Partners hopes to generate plans, drawings and policy recommendations to build a better University City.

The workshop will take place 6-8 pm Thursday at the Camino Community Center, 201 Stetson Drive near the University City Boulevard LYNX Station and Parking Deck. Turn onto the side street next to the Waffle House. The center is nearby on the left. Directions
