Capt. Brian Foley, commander of the CMPD University City Division since 2015, has accepted a new assignment in the Special Investigations Bureau effective this month. Captain Allan Rutledge, a 25-year CMPD veteran, assumed the post of division commander on Feb. 12.

“This is a new opportunity for me with different work but I will truly miss the amazing communities and wonderful people that reside within the boundaries of our Division,” Capt. Foley said in a news release issued by CMPD.

Capt. Foley said he will work with Capt. Rutledge to ensure a “seamless transition.”

The University City Division covers the central University City Municipal Service District and most of the greater University City except for the area near I-77.

The division office is at 8401 University Executive Park Drive.
