NC Gov. Roy Cooper visits the UNC Charlotte College of Computing and Informatics.

The race to become Amazon’s second headquarters city has passed us by. Our region must learn from that loss and respond – or risk missing out on future game-changing opportunities, UNC Charlotte Chancellor Phillip Dubois wrote recently.

His advice: We must aggressively grow our region’s “higher-education horsepower.”
