Women’s Soccer opens the season with victory over UNC Greensboro

UNC Charlotte’s dynamic Title 1 sports program wasted no time in making its mark this season, as the 2016 Conference USA Women’s Soccer champs knocked off UNC Greensboro Monday night at Transamerica Field to secure Victory No. 200 for head women’s soccer coach John Cullen.

The other kind of 49er Football kicks off in just over three weeks (feed your football frenzy here!). And come next spring, Duke and Chapel Hill will by dying to visit us for basketball – as UNC Charlotte hosts the first and second rounds of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament!

Supporters of 49er athletics can get an inside track on tickets for the big dance. Members of the Charlotte 49er Club, season ticket holders and other special constituents will be able to buy tickets to the Charlotte regionals before they go on sale to the general public in November.
