We are so excited that Topgolf is finally here in Charlotte! Is it open yet?

We officially open our doors this Friday, June 9, at 9 a.m., and we are ready! Our team has been working so hard for months, and are excited to show the Charlotte community how fun Topgolf is.

Is it true that Topgolf is already looking into a second location in Charlotte?

Yes, we are aiming to build another venue in the area. Charlotte is a vibrant, fast-growing city, and we are excited about our potential to grow here and create 500 additional jobs.

Where is the second Charlotte location that Topgolf is pursuing?

The proposed second venue is located in the northwest quadrant of the interchange of I-85 and West Mallard Creek Church Road. This location is approximately 26 miles from Topgolf Charlotte when traveling by car.

What do you want the neighbors of this second location to know?

Topgolf is committed to being a good neighbor. The location will not cause a disturbance to surrounding residents. The corner of the building would be approximately two football fields from the nearest single family lot and we will create a tree save buffer that includes 50 feet of non-disturbed depth plus an extra 25 feet of planted or preserved buffer. The existing trees are mature at 60-80 feet tall.

Fortunately, Topgolf has experience operating 30+ other Topgolf venues throughout the country, and we have successfully partnered with the neighborhoods near those venues to help minimize any disturbances. Topgolf could not be successful without the continued support of our neighbors!

What does Topgolf offer to the city of Charlotte?

Our venues serve as anchors in the community for people to gather for all occasions. Some of these occasions include birthday parties, charity fundraisers, summer camps, game watch parties, business meetings, happy hours, team-buildings, gender reveal parties and more. Fun and interactive golf games, delicious food and good beats can be enjoyed by all – golfers and non-golfers alike!

How does Topgolf give back to the community?

Along with creating 500+ jobs at each venue, the economic output at each location is $264.5 million over a 10-year period. We also give back to the community through a variety of programs, including Youth Play It Forward, where high school golf teams and charities can play for free Monday-Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. We host Spirit Nights for local schools and provide donations to hundreds of causes locally. Topgolf also recycles our golf equipment to military troops overseas through Bunkers in Baghdad. Plus, we are partnered with some great national organizations such as Make-A-Wish, MD Anderson and Folds of Honor. Giving back to the communities we serve is part of our caring core value!

Any advice for first-time visitors?

Get ready to be amazed by how unique the venue is and how much fun you will have! You can bring your clubs or leave them at home – we provide everything you need for a great time. You can wear what you want – no golf attire is required. And don’t miss out on ordering our Injectable Donut Holes. They are out of this world, and we donate $1 from every order to Make-A-Wish.
