University City Wine FestThe first ever University City Wine Fest takes place April 22 on the lake and boardwalk at the Shoppes at University Place.

More than 100 wines will be available to sample, plus guests can talk with wine experts, stroll the boardwalk, meet local artisans, shop and enjoy live music and interactive entertainment. Event proceeds will help library literacy programs, too!

The Wine Vault University City Wine Festival Presented by University City Connect & Greystar will feature a variety of old and new as well as exciting wines for 2016 from across the US and globe. Whether you’re a seasoned expert or an intrigued beginner, wineries and winery representatives will welcome you as they share their knowledge along with samples of their art.  Meet these experts, learn the story of their wines, and experience the harmony of delectable wines.

Of course wine goes wonderfully with food, and the fest will have vendors selling delicious treats.

The Wine Vault University City Wine Festival is presented by University City Connect and Greystar.  Other sponsors include UNC Charlotte and Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group.

Tim Wallace, owner of the Wine Vault, is choosing the wines for the event, with two dozen wineries represented.

Proceeds from the Wine Fest will benefit literacy programs at University City Regional Library and Sugar Creek Library.

General admission

General Admission tickets will be $35.00* and include 4 hours of unlimited wine tastings and a festival souvenir sampling glass. Limited seating is available. Reservations

V.I.P. tables

Enjoy the Fest in style with friends by reserving a V.I.P. Table. $500* includes table, umbrella and seating for 10. VIP ticket holders will also enjoy one hour earlier access to the festival, 4 bottles of wine at their table, unlimited wine tastings, festival souvenir sampling glass, the ability to bring your own foods to the festival and access to VIP only restroom. The Wine Fest will be 2-6 pm April 22 at the Shoppes at University Place, 8929 J. M. Keynes Drive. The event is for adults 21 and older only, and no pets, please. Proper ID required. Purchase tickets now online. Tickets will be available at the gate, if the event is not sold out.
*All tickets are subject to the 7.25% State Tax and a processing fee.
