Duke Energy continues to expand its footprint in University Research Park. The Charlotte Business Journal reports that Duke Energy is taking bids to renovate and expand its customer call center at 9700 David Taylor Drive.
The project will renovate 80,000 square feet of existing space and add 35,000 square feet of additional room. The two-story facility, built in 1991, has a total of 145,271 square feet of space on a 19.5-acre site.
About 500 people work in the center, a Duke Energy spokesperson told the Business Journal. Duke Energy’s presence in the park is continuing to grow with employment growth and the company’s acquisition of property.
