Witness baseball joy at UC YMCA’s Miracle League Field

Sep 5, 2016 | Events

Miracle League gameOn Saturday, Sept. 10, one of the purest forms of athletic enjoyment takes the field at our University City YMCA. Our Y hosts the YMCA Miracle League, an incredible program that lets youngsters and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities step up to the plate and swing for the stars.

Team sponsors for the Fall 2016 season include Elevation Church, Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates, South Mecklenburg High School Athletic Club and Paul’s Pals. University City YMCA has several ways you or your business or group can also provide support.

The Charlotte Observer’s correspondent Marty Minchin recently wrote this compelling article about the baseball players and the many people who make the Miracle League possible. We hope the article will encourage you to provide support, volunteer or help someone join the team.
