Looking for a fun, relaxed environment that is both one of a kind and close at hand? Look no further. BluNotes of Charlotte has opened near University Research Park. From live jazz and blues music to New Orleans gumbo, BluNotes will make you feel like you are in the heart and soul of Louisiana.

One of the restaurant’s main goals is to give the community a place to come together and share their love of music with each other. Going by the tagline “Everything is authentic here,” BluNotes strives to give its customers a real Bayou experience.

Savor the flavors Executive Chef Martine Johnson will be in the kitchen cooking authentic Louisiana dishes including char-grilled oysters, crawfish eggrolls and étouffée. Martine’s husband, Lucius is the kitchen operations executive.

On Sundays, brunch will be offered. Enjoy a red velvet waffle with a Bloody Mary from the restaurant’s full-service bar. Then sit back and enjoy the live jazz.

Live music, local artists and good times

You can expect to hear everything from BB King to Miles Davis when you dine at BluNotes. Wednesday through Sunday, the restaurant will feature performances by local, regional and national musicians. Each night will be dedicated to a different genre of music.

BluNotes will offer drink and dinner specials throughout the week including Vinyl Mondays with half-off wine specials, Hurricane and Sazerac specials on Tuesdays, and Po’boy and Gumbo specials on Zydeco Thursdays.

BluNotes will also soothe the eyes, with a regularly updated artwork by local artists. Most of their works will be available for purchase.
