Vote today in Charlotte’s 2nd primary for mayor

All Democrats and many unaffiliated voters can cast votes in today’s second primary for our next Charlotte mayor. Incumbent Mayor Dan Clodfelter and former County Commissioner Jennifer Roberts are seeking the Democratic Party nomination for Charlotte mayor.

Today’s second primary was required because Roberts, who led the Sept. 15 primary vote count, did not receive enough votes to avoid today’s runoff. The winner of today’s primary will face Republican candidate Edwin Peacock in the general election on Nov. 3.

Who can vote today – All registered Democrats who live in the city of Charlotte can vote in today’s primary. All unaffiliated Charlotte voters can also cast ballots, if they did not vote in the Republican primary on Sept. 15.

When and where to vote today – Vote from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Vote in your assigned precinct today, unless you reside in precincts 96 (Charlotte Swim and Racquet), 209 (Long Creek Elementary) or 225 (Belle Johnston Community Center). Call the Board of Elections at 704-336-2133 for any election assistance.

Locate your place to vote online – If you are unsure where to vote, you can find out on line. CLICK HERE to look up your location for voting. Enter your address into the precinct search tool to get the location.
