Rain delay! University City Taste rescheduled for Sept. 29

University City TasteDue to impending inclement weather, forecasting rain and chilly temperatures, the Charlotte Chamber University City Chapter board leadership and host sponsor, Casto, have decided to change the date of University City Taste from today, September 24, to the new date of TUESDAY, SEPT. 29, from 5:30-8 pm at The Shoppes at University Place.

The decision was made also to ensure that event organizers are able to accommodate the many sponsors and the hundreds of attendees who have purchased tickets.

  • If you have tickets – Tickets with the original date of Sept. 24 will be honored.
  • How to get tickets – You can buy tickets on Tuesday at the event for $15 each.

Don’t miss University City Taste!

University City Taste, the signature autumn event for University City’s business community, returns Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 5:30-8 pm lakeside at University Place.

The Charlotte Chamber’s University City Chapter invites members and nonmembers alike to the fifth annual University City Taste. This annual event draws hundreds of people to sample tasty fare from Shoppes at University Place restaurants while networking and just enjoying a pleasant fall evening at our special lake. The event is open to the entire business community.

University City Taste, hosted by Shoppes at University Place and sponsored by the University City Chapter, provides a unique networking opportunity to the University City community.   Food and beverages are being provided by:

Buy tickets now!

University City Taste will take place 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, on the lakeside boardwalk near the main bridge at University Place. The event is open to both Chamber members and nonmembers.

TICKETS – Tickets cost $15 each at the event. Buy them in advance at University City YMCA, 8100 Old Mallard Creek Road. The price covers samples from Shoppes at University Place restaurants, beverages (while supplies last), free paddleboat rides, live entertainment by local jazz band Sol After Dark, sponsor offerings and networking with more than 500 University City business professionals.
