Skate Rink Jukebox will perform this Thursday lakeside at University Place

Balmy April evenings have returned, and you know what that means – Free Thursday evening concerts return to the lake at University Place! These are great events for all ages, and the performances will be memorable.

This Thursday from 6-9, Skate Rink Jukebox will rock the waterfront with tunes spanning the popular-music spectrum from Dance and Rock to Reggae and Country. Come early and enjoy dinner at the many nearby restaurants – including several with great outdoor seating.

Other performers at the Spring Concert Series will be:

  •  April 17 – Hot Sauce. Members of this Charlotte-based five-piece band come from across the country and have played individually with many national artists like The Moody Blues, Al Jarreau, Yes and Arlo Guthrie. Not a surprise to learn that their performances also fuse genres from the ‘70s to the ‘90s. Lady GaGa, Usher, Black Eyed Peas, The Village People, Kool & The Gang – we think you get the picture.
  • April 24 – The Coconut Groove Band. Another popular local band with a broad range of styles, CGB’s April 24 performance may can make you think Alabama, Eric Clapton, James Taylor and Jimmy Buffet have taken the stage.

About the shows

The Spring Concert Series is sponsored by the Shoppes at University Place. Both admissions and parking are free. Performances may be canceled due to weather.
