Is there a charge to attend the event?
No.  This a free community event organized by University City Partners and presented by Truliant Federal Credit Union.

Who should attend this event?
All are welcome to join the festivities at this family-friendly community event!

How can I donate to Toys for Tots of Charlotte at the event?
You can bring a new, unwrapped toy appropriate for infants to age 16
and place it in the designated Toys for Tots bin located near the Welcome/Information booth adjacent to the Wine Vault.

Where can I park?
Parking is available at the Shoppes at University Place on both sides of JM Keynes Blvd.  You can also find parking at Mallard Point Shopping Center near the Food Lion, which is just a short walk away from the festival.  Parking Map Coming Soon .

Is there handicapped parking?
Handicapped parking is available but limited.  We recommend arriving early to secure a spot.

Will the event take place rain or shine?
Yes, the event will take place rain or shine.

Is the light rail a good option?
The light rail is a convenient option for getting to and from the Shoppes at University Place.  Simply get off at the JW Clay/UNC Charlotte stop, which is a short walk to the event.

What are our food and beverage options?
You are welcome to bring your own food and non-alcoholic beverages to UCity Lights.  There are numerous restaurants and bars within walking distance and we encourage you to support these local businesses.  

What if I have questions when I arrive?
There will be a welcome and information booth at the entrance to the festival near The Wine Vault.  Please feel free to stop by and say hello, even if you don’t have any questions!

Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely! We encourage you to bring your furry friend and even dress them up for the Posh Pooch contest.  Please remember to keep your dog on a leash at all times.  If your dog has a history of aggression toward other dogs, children, or adults, we kindly ask that you leave them at home.

By attending the UCity Lights Winter Celebration presented by Truliant Federal Credit Union, attendees agree to the following terms & conditions:

The UCity Lights Winter Celebration is intended to be an opportunity to celebrate the joy of the season with the University City community. Any individual displaying malicious, violent, or otherwise inappropriate behavior will be removed from the festival grounds.

By entering the event premises, you consent to the use of your likeness in photography, video recording, and its release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction for promotional purposes, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose by University City Partners, University Foundation, Toys for Tots, and their event committee.

Attendees understand and agree to accept sole responsibility for their actions during and after the event. They hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless all persons involved with or associated with University City Partners, University City Foundation, and Toys for Tots, including event organizers, vendors, and sponsors, from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action related to any loss, damage, or injury that may be sustained while participating in the UCity Fest or while traveling from the event.

Attendees voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risk of loss, property damage, or personal injury that may be sustained during the event.

Any visibly intoxicated person may be refused additional tastings and/or asked to leave the event.

An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any place where people gather. By attending the event, you acknowledge and assume all risks related to COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness. You also agree to waive all claims against UCity Lights, University City Partners, University City Foundation, Toys for Tots, and their respective participants, volunteers, employees, affiliates, and vendors related to COVID-19 or any other communicable disease or illness, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
