UNC Charlotte Wind Ensemble

Wind Ensemble presents “War and Peace” The UNC Charlotte Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Shawn Smith, is the university’s most advanced organization for winds and percussion. “War and Peace,” will feature a wide variety of both traditional and contemporary music including the first movement of Gustav Holst’s popular orchestral suite, The Planets, and Daniel Bukvich’s visceral Symphony No. 1, which depicts the 1945 firebombing of Dresden.
