Our university’s dynamic arts program struts its stuff in April with 9 student presentations, including the final performance of the Spring Dance Concert tonight (April 4). Most of the events are $8 for the public.
Spring Dance Concert – final performance at 7:30 pm April 4 in Robinson Hall. Concert features Tracer and Esplanade by the American Modern Dance pioneer Paul Taylor, and works by E.E. Balcos, Rachel Barker, and AGA Collaborative. Tickets are $18 for general admission; $10 for seniors. Details and tickets
Graphic Design arts reception and exhibition – 5 pm April 10 at Rowe Galleries. You’re invited to the opening reception of works by seniors graduating with bachelor of fine-arts degrees in the area of graphic design. The show will run through April 14. Details
Philharmonia string orchestra – April 12 at Rowe Recital Hall. Free. Details

Music in the Gardens – 11 am-noon April 21 in the Susie Harwood Garden Gazebo at UNC Charlotte’s Botanical Gardens. Bring lunch and enjoy classical music courtesy of students in UNC Charlotte Music Department. Details
