Never complain when someone throws $2.4 billion at you for roads, rail and light rail, right?

OK, so we’ll let you whine when someone’s late for work, or school or … oops, out of gas!

Meanwhile, here is the latest news about road closings, progress and even a major transit planning meeting. Remember, $2.4 billion! We’ll love it when they’re through!

Major meeting on light-rail progress and 5-year transit plan

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) invites you to get an update on LYNX Blue Line Extension progress at two information sessions, 6-8 pm May 3 at Sugaw Creek Presbyterian Church and May 5 at the Oasis Shriners Center at University Place.

Along with telling you about the latest progress building the light-rail line, transit staff will seek your ideas as it puts together the next five-year plan for all forms of transit service in Mecklenburg County.

The presentation will start at 6:15 p.m. Transit staff will be available to talk with you until 8 p.m.

Sugaw Creek Church is at 101 W. Sugar Creek Road and North Tryon Street. The Oasis Shriners Center is at 604 Doug Mayes Place. LEARN MORE
